Surviving Christmas

For the first time in my life i ended working on a public holiday. It was horrid. I worked for more than 16 hours. I have blisters in places i never knew existed, my thumb is the size of fucking palm tree and i feel fatigue like i've never felt before. But i feel refreshed. Funnily enough. It's a stark realization that eventhough it sucks to be working so hard when everybody else is on holiday, it's also a refreshing change. It's 12.43pm and i just got home. I never saw the outside of the building since 9 am in the morning. I never saw sleet, rain or hail for the whole time. We had ciggie breaks in between and i had a chat with one of the girls (who i have to say is the most UNDERDRESSED person i have seen in my life..lol) who was around us at the time. That's pretty much it. For those of you who came and gave me support today, I am overwhelmingly greatful and humbled. I am surrounded by truly amazing individuals. All of which i am proud to say are friends ...

Rubina, it's been a wild ride.

It's been an empty, blogless space for a while now. For those of you in the know, i've been going through some rather abrupt changes. And it has taken up most of my time. Events which deserve blog space was left on the dust ridden altar, to be picked away slowly, by ghostly tales of the forgotten. I've gone through a forced period of existentialism. It is an infinite expanse of space, in a wholly finite world. I have no idea what the future brings, or what the new year entails; but a part of me (the adventurous part) is tugging at the chains and is ready to jump at the chance . Another part of me misses the comfortable and the familiar. The part of me which wakes up in the morning and wonder how things were so easily taken for granted. In a whirlwind of events which has occured to me this year, i have finally fou...

Pigs in a blanket.

Syawal's almost over, the year has less than a month of life in it left, and god willing another year will be blessed upon all of us next year. I won't start summarizing the year in advance though, it still has 29 or so days in it left. So far, it's been an interesting year - to say the least. I've learned ten important life lessons so far. 1. If you really want something, wait for it, don't settle for anything lesser. 2. The friends who are with you through thick and thin, can't be chosen or forced upon. 3. I need to read through the lines a lot more. 4. Flexibilty is a double edged sword. It is a boon & a bane all at the same time. 5. Never assume. It really does make an ASS of U and ME. 6. Assertion is an important aspect of decision making. 7. Nothing will ever remain as it is. People change, events change, YOU change. 8. Bad months - they really do exist! Lol. 9. Forgiveness isn't a four letter word expression. Tr...
