Surviving Christmas
For the first time in my life i ended working on a public holiday. It was horrid. I worked for more than 16 hours. I have blisters in places i never knew existed, my thumb is the size of fucking palm tree and i feel fatigue like i've never felt before.
But i feel refreshed. Funnily enough.
It's a stark realization that eventhough it sucks to be working so hard when everybody else is on holiday, it's also a refreshing change. It's 12.43pm and i just got home. I never saw the outside of the building since 9 am in the morning. I never saw sleet, rain or hail for the whole time. We had ciggie breaks in between and i had a chat with one of the girls (who i have to say is the most UNDERDRESSED person i have seen in my life..lol) who was around us at the time. That's pretty much it. For those of you who came and gave me support today, I am overwhelmingly greatful and humbled.
I am surrounded by truly amazing individuals. All of which i am proud to say are friends ...
